The Neuroscience (NEUR) major is a Limited Enrollment Program (LEP). Current University of Maryland (UMD) students who would like to add NEUR as a primary or secondary major must complete all LEP gateway requirements and then submit an LEP application . Applications are accepted twice a year, January and June. Current UMD students should attend a Neuroscience Graduation Plan Workshop to learn about the LEP application process as well as LEP gateway and major requirements.
Please complete the following steps to learn more about NEUR at UMD!
-
Review the short prospective student presentation below detailing the Neuroscience Major’s application process and degree requirements.
-
Signup for a Neuroscience Graduation Plan Workshop that works with your schedule. (Note: if no workshops are feasible, please send your academic schedule to neuradvising [at] umd.edu along with your UID and we will work with you to receive advising.)
Internal prospective students are encouraged to join the Neuroscience advising team for a Neuroscience graduation plan workshop this Fall semester. Students will receive information about the limited enrollment major process, learn about major requirements, and develop their own personalized graduation plan for success in the Neuroscience program.
