Imani joins us most recently from working as a graduate assistant,  advising for the Business Minor here on campus. She earned her Associate’s Degree from Vance-Granville Community College and then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in Chapel Hill, she completed her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Education. After graduation, Imani was given the opportunity to fulfill her passion by working with the Carolina College Advising Corps in Warren County, NC where she advised and assisted under-represented students in the college application process. During her two years with the Corps, she decided to advance her studies to continue to help students excel during their collegiate years. Her desire to help brought her to the University of Maryland- College Park to earn her M. Ed. in Higher Education, Student Affairs & International Education Policy  in May 2021. Imani enjoys spending time with her community and traveling to new places!
