Neuroscience students have access to ongoing research at the University and may work with faculty and other principal investigators (also known as PIs) as undergraduate research assistants. Students conducting Neuroscience-related research may count academic credits towards the Neuroscience major requirements. Additionally, students who complete neuroscience related research throughout the year will be able to present their findings at our annual spring research fair.
Students interested in getting involved with research may meet with our research coordinators to learn about current opportunities and for tips related to reaching out to PIs. Neuroscience research coordinators can be contacted at neurresearch [at] umd.edu.
