Neuroscience students are encouraged to explore the many scholarship, research, and funding opportunities available through UMD Scholarship Universe, as well as opportunities offered by the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS) and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS).
Examples include:
- CMNS Alumni Network Endowed Undergraduate Award — Provides funding to help undergraduates defray costs associated with conducting research, attending conferences, or participating in summer internships.
- UMD Alumni Association Scholarships — The Alumni Association awards 15 scholarships of $5,000 each to eligible students.
-
BSOS Undergraduate Experience Funds — Provides funding to students who face financial barriers to an internship or other experiential learning opportunity. Awards can help offset costs such as transportation, essential materials, and conference fees.
-
Gregory F. Ball Scholarship Award — BSOS scholarship supports undergraduates with a demonstrated interest in biological psychology or neuroscience. The award is $1,000 for one recipient.
These are just a few of the opportunities available to UMD students. Students are encouraged to regularly explore their respective college scholarship pages for current opportunities, eligibility requirements, and application deadlines.
