  • Meet with the NEUR Director of Undergraduate Studies as student advisory committee to voice ideas and concerns on behalf of the larger NEUR student body every semester
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives for prospective students
    • Internal Transfer Information Sessions
    • Admitted Student Open Houses
    • Recruitment Fairs
    • Prospective student shadowing opportunities
  • Help host and plan community building events
  • Assist in planning of the Neuroscience career panels
  • Create and help with updating content for social media/blog/website
  • Participate in monthly ambassador team meetings
  • Meet 1:1 with prospective and current students to give student centered advice
  • Manage the shared Neuroscience Student Ambassador email account
  • Commit to 10-15 hours per semester of service outside of monthly meetings
  • Other task/duties may be developed as the program matures
  • Must be a current Neuroscience Major for at least one semester 
  • Must have at least 2 semesters left at UMD
  • At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Passionate about creating community 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Creative thinking
  • Enthusiasm and initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in groups and individually
