- Meet with the NEUR Director of Undergraduate Studies as student advisory committee to voice ideas and concerns on behalf of the larger NEUR student body every semester
- Participate in recruitment initiatives for prospective students
- Internal Transfer Information Sessions
- Admitted Student Open Houses
- Recruitment Fairs
- Prospective student shadowing opportunities
- Help host and plan community building events
- Assist in planning of the Neuroscience career panels
- Create and help with updating content for social media/blog/website
- Participate in monthly ambassador team meetings
- Meet 1:1 with prospective and current students to give student centered advice
- Manage the shared Neuroscience Student Ambassador email account
- Commit to 5-10 hours per semester of service outside of monthly meetings
- Other task/duties may be developed as the program matures
- Must be a current Neuroscience Major
- Must have at least 2 semesters left at UMD
- At least a 2.7 cumulative GPA
- Passionate about creating communityÂ
- Strong communication skills
- Creative thinking
- Enthusiasm and initiative
- Ability to work effectively in groups and individually
